Amanda Balena is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Mobile before moving to Atlanta, Georgia where she obtained a Master of Arts Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has experience working in a variety of clinical settings including private practice, day treatment centers, and mental health hospitals. Her goal as a counselor is to meet people where they are and help them find freedom in their lives, enjoyment in their relationships, and hope for their future.
Amanda seeks to provide an environment that feels inviting, safe, and comfortable. Her areas of focus include marriage and pre-marital counseling, anxiety, depression, stress-management, women’s issues, self-esteem, spiritual growth, life transitions, divorce recovery, relationship difficulties, and family therapy. Amanda is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. She is a certified facilitator in Prepare-Enrich (a marriage assessment tool).
