Linda Colclough is recognized by the Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling as a Licensed Professional Counselor. She completed her undergraduate work at Centre College in Kentucky and received a Master of Science degree in clinical psychology from the University of South Alabama. She was the court psychologist/psychometrist for the Juvenile Court of Mobile County for 5 years. During the last 20 years she has worked as a private practice psychotherapist, specializing in individual therapy (all ages) plus couples and family counseling. She serves as a consultant to schools, various agencies and the court system. Linda’s areas of concentration include: *Grief issues thru death, divorce and other loss *Anxiety, depression and other mood disorders *Relationship and communication problems *AD/HD, LD and behavioral problems at home and in the classroom *Parenting issues and training Linda’s extensive experience with art therapy adds a unique dimension to her practice. She is founder and facilitator of CrossRhodes Art Therapy Program for children with life threatening illnesses, and NEW Art Therapy Program designed to reach children who are grieving the loss of a loved one. As an artist herself, Linda is passionate about creating a safe, nurturing therapeutic environment that allows children to ask questions and express feelings in a healthy, healing way.
